Adult Education: A Bridge to a Better Path
It’s National Adult Education Week, and the Natomas Unified School District (NUSD) is showing its appreciation for Adult Education teachers and students. Adult Education is essential in helping adult learners forge a better foundation on their way to their career path. Here at NUSD, we offer multiple programs for adult learners including: General Education Diploma (GED) in Spanish and English, Food Handler Certificate classes, High School Recovery courses, and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. All classes are held at Discovery High School. “It’s extremely important because it gives adult students another opportunity to finish what maybe they didn’t get to while they were in school,” David Rodriguez, an NUSD Assistant Superintendent, said.
