Why Tech Matters Skoll World Forum 2020

Tech Matters is a new nonprofit organization, based in Silicon Valley. This video was recorded on the day of the launch of Tech Matters, by founder/CEO Jim Fruchterman. Jim covers why tech matters to humanity, as well as discussing what Tech Matters the new org is doing. The three main topics covered are building the #TechforGood field and two major new systems change tech platform efforts: the Child Helpline International shared contact center and the 1000 Landscape for 1 Billion People initiative.



The session was a part of the Skoll World Forum 2020, which was conducted virtually because of the global pandemic in progress in April 2020. Jim also answers questions from the SWF audience.
