 *MEMORISE*

     Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3)

 *READ*

 *Ephesians 4: 2-4, 32*

[2]. with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,

[3]. endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

[4]. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;

[32]. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

 *EXPOSITION*

       Marriage is the oldest institution, its importance cannot be overstated. To build a strong and effective home, we must adhere to the principles provided by its Creator and Designer. Let us move to the 6th law the Law of SACRIFICE. Sacrifice is a fundamental Christian virtue (Rom. 12:1ff). God expects us to adopt a sacrificial attitude in marriage that involves dedicating time for the benefit of the family, making ourselves available in times of plenty and need, and adapting to changes in pregnancy, childbirth, economic fluctuations, health issues, privacy adjustments, and other life essentials. Success in any relationship requires a willingness to make sacrifices and prioritise your partner's well-being and interests over your own.

        The 7th law, the Law of FORGIVENESS, emphasises the importance of forgiving one another in marriages and understanding that offences are inevitable. Forgiveness should be given willingly by couples without limits, guided by love, and avoid holding grudges, or dwelling on past wrongs. The 8th law, the Law of APPRECIATION, highlights the significance of showing appreciation in marriage. Couples should express affection, admiration and support for each other while refraining from criticism. This practice fosters a deeper love and strengthens the marital bond. By consistently applying these principles, we can genuinely make our spouses better individuals for God, ourselves, our families, and society. May God assist us in building Christian homes.

 *PRAYER POINTS*

1. I am empowered to bear the cost of creating a joyful home, in Jesus' name.

2. May the spirit of forgiveness and appreciation dwell in me, in Jesus' name

3. Pray for families facing numerous challenges, asking for God's intervention.

SUGGESTED HYMN FOR TODAY:

CAC GHB: 512

TRICHINOPOLY 7 6 7 6 D

1. O Father, all-creating,

 Whose wisdom and Whose pow'r

 First bound two lives together

 In Eden's primal hour;

 Today to these Thy children

 Thine earliest gift renew;-

 A home by Thee made blessed,

 A love by Thee kept true.

2. O Saviour, Guest most bounteous Of old in Galilee,

 Vouchsafe to-day Thy presence,

 With these who wait on Thee;

 Their store of earthly gladness

 Transform to heav'nly wine,

 And teach them, in the tasting,

 To know the gift is Thine.

3. O Spirit of the Father,

 Breathe on them from above,-

 So searching in Thy pureness,

 So tender in Thy love;

 That guarded by Thy presence,

 From sin and strife kept free,

 Their lives may own Thy guidance

 Their hearts be ruled by Thee.

4. Except Thou build it, Father,

 The house is built in vain;

 Except Thou, Lord, sustain it,

 The joy will turn to pain:

 But nought can break the union

 Of hearts in Thee made one,

 And love which Thou hast hal-lowed,

 Is endless love begun.

Amen.
