In today’s video, I will show you how to turn water into hydrogen and oxygen to generate HHO gas. In this video, I separate the water molecules, which are hydrogen and oxygen, by electrolysing water, to produced gas.
Note: you can also use potassium hydroxide powder or drain cleaner or salt to conduct water. But if you use salt the color of the water will turn brown due to the production of hydroxide ions. Also, the efficiency of the drain cleaner solution is stronger. Hope you like this simple hho generator I made, thanks for watching see you in the next diy video.

Progress on testing a cheap but decent shredder...
Make your own much lower cost version of Dave Hakkens' Precious Plastic shredder. Are you a student on a budget doing something with plastic recylcing? If so, this project is for you! Just make sure you have an adult handy when using any power tools.
This is definitely not as powerful, but it's plenty good to do some low volume plastic shredding for different things, and you can learn a lot about mechanical engineering and tools along the way!
NOTE: I've been cutting things for decades, and am pretty used to my equipment and its limits. However, I caution you all, PLEASE OBSERVE ALL SAFETY PROTOCOLS, ESPECIALLY AROUND CHILDREN! When I'm working with children, I always try to make it as safe as possible. Also note, I'm aware that this whole project could be done more professionally, but I jut wanted to do a fast proof of concept here, to demo that this sort of thing would work. In the next stages, I'd make templates and files for folks to download and share, but for now, we're still testing things. So, stay tuned.
All the parts in this video were sourced from scrap, or found cheap, like washers, the rods, and nuts. Tools were borrowed, or purchased (like an angle grinder for $12 with coupon. The motor, purchased used, was the main expense in the project. But, look around on CL, you might find a great one really cheap!

In this video I melt HDPE milk jugs to get a block of plastic from which I need to make a pulley for an electric motor. Because I had no decent plywood and HDPE is easily available and great pulley material.

Don't do anything you see me do. Stay SAFE!
Here's some things I do to make this safer, but do your own research. I ain't no chemist or doctor.
- I only use HDPE, other plastics might give nastier fumes.
- I don't try to guess if something is HDPE or not, I only use the things clearly marked.
- I only use translucent HDPE, clear or colored one might have nasty aditives.
- There are two types of HDPE, the one blown like the jugs and the one molded, like caps and buckets and such.
- I only use HDPE from milk jugs, the one made in molds might have aditives to make it flow better.
- I Keep it the right temperature and work in a well ventilated room.
- I only do this rarely, constant exposure to fumes has risks.
You... should not do this!

Nowadays it’s super important to find sustainable ways to live, and recycling plastic to create incredible crafts is one of them! Today we’re going to show you how you can take the junk you have at home and repurpose it into a very useful DIY. This is actually a lot easier than you might think. All you’ll need are old plastic bottles and containers, scissors, glue and anything else you’d like to use to decorate them! First, you’ll learn how to make a super cool home projector with an old cardboard box and glass.
We’ll also show you how to make a silverware organizer for the kitchen. Keeping things in place will be a piece of cake for you. Today you’ll learn how to make a hairdryer holder for your bathroom as well as an umbrella holder for your car. This way you will always know where these things are. It’s so convenient! If you ever go camping and are not sure where or how to keep your toilet paper safe and dry, check this video out to learn a creative hack to do it.
