Is God first in your life, or is He an afterthought? Are there others who have greater influence over your conduct and conversation than He does?
For the lost, it is crucial to seek the Lord for salvation. However, for a believer, it is also vital that you spend time with the Father daily in order to grow in your relationship with Him and be conformed to the likeness of Jesus. But what exactly must you do to seek God?
In this important message, Seeking the Lord, Dr. Stanley explains how the Father pursues us and how we can embrace an intimate relationship with Him.

In this message, Dr. Stanley outlines the reality of spiritual warfare and the believer’s resources for successfully resisting temptation and guarding against deception.

“In this world you will have trouble” (John 16:33 NIV).
Of all the promises Jesus made during His time on earth, that’s one we all wish weren’t true. But, as most of us know from personal experience, it is.
In this message, Dr. Stanley echoes the disturbing reality of those words but reminds us that the verse doesn’t end there: “But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Yes, storms—be they of our own disobedient making or an attack of the enemy’s—are inevitable. But through them all, God is conforming us to His image, demonstrating His power, and drawing us closer with His love.

The fact that the word peace is used 353 times in the Bible is a clear indication of its importance. Yet national conflicts, political disagreements, broken relationships, and internal anxiety often characterize the world in which we live.
Jesus came to offer us a better way: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful” (John 14:27).
In this message, Dr. Stanley explains how Christ can set us free from thoughts that steal our peace. We don’t have to haul around a load of insecurity, inadequacy, and hurt when we have a Savior who can heal and deliver us, replacing our burden with His peace and joy.

We're sometimes overwhelmed by instant communication, information, and entertainment. Do we let these drown out the voice of God? He has been speaking to us ever since creation, so we know He wants to communicate with us. How do we give Him the time He deserves?

There are times in life when we choose to go it alone because we believe there is no one to turn to. Our first response to a difficult situation is often to react and make snap decisions. However, our best response should always be to turn to the Lord and seek His guidance.
In this message, “Encouraging Ourselves,” Dr. Stanley reminds us that God is our Shield and Protector and He promises to guide us through difficult times. Any time we’re willing to acknowledge our inadequacy and ask the Lord to give us direction, He will. Instead of relying on our abilities, we need to rely on His. Looking back on God’s track record of faithfulness can be a valuable source of encouragement during challenging times. When we have no one else to turn to, we can find encouragement by going to the Lord for guidance.
This message is part of the series "Encouragement."

The choices we make today determine our tomorrows. If we knew what the consequences were, we would never have made some of our past decisions.
In this message, Dr. Stanley poses a number of questions we should ask ourselves before choosing a path. Jesus says there are only two ways to live. We can walk the godly and righteous path or the path that leads to disappointment and destruction. It all depends on where we want to end up in life and what rules, if any, we want to live by.
Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life” (John 8:12).
If we want to get on the right path, we have to place our trust in Christ as the crucified Savior, ask God to forgive us of our sins, and surrender our lives to Him.

Is there something God is asking you to relinquish to Him?
In military terms, surrender means defeat, but for a follower of Jesus, it means victory over whatever is hindering our Christian life. In this message, Dr. Stanley explores what it truly means to ask the Lord for His will to be done in our lives and encourages us to let go of anything that God says is not for our best. We lose nothing when we yield everything to Him.

Life is filled with all kinds of trials and tough decisions that have to be made. In those situations, it can be difficult to know what to do.
In “Standing Tall and Strong Through Prayer,” Dr. Stanley explains that any time we respond in prayer, we can't go wrong. Prayer allows us to cast our burdens on the Lord and receive guidance and provision from Him. We can experience God's power for daily living when we're willing to seek Him earnestly and bow in reverence.
