The celebration of Jubilee was to begin with the sound of trumpets on the Day of Atonement and every Israelite was to return to the property of inheritance and each return to his own clan. This was God’s way of returning everyone to their homes and families in spite of what may have transpired in the previous 49 years. During this time of year when families traditionally return to their homes and families to celebrate Christmas, we will find parallels with the family from Nazareth who we to their hometown of Bethlehem on that first Christmas and celebrate how Jesus came to our home so that we could return home to God (Luke 1:30-33 and John 1:14).

Background of Lee Baker: For six years from 2012 - 2018, a former Mormon Bishop by the name of Lee Baker and his wife Kathy served with our ministry, Witnesses for Jesus, Inc helping to lead Mormons to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through a comparison of biblical Christianity and Mormon doctrine. Then, in 2019, Lee and Kathy Baker started studying with an anti-Christian Jewish missionary whose goal is to destroy Christian converts through a slew of mis-information about the teachings of Christ and the Christian New Testament. Lee & Kathy publicly denied their faith in Christ within two months of studying with this "rabbi." As a result, they have been posting much mis-information about the New Testament trying to destroy the faith of the many Ex-Mormons they helped come to Christ through our ministry. Genesis 19:1-11 is a clear statement on the sin of sodomy. Unfortunately, there are many in the “Christian” community who have come to doubt, or even refute this fact. The homo-sexual movement has succeeded at clouding the issue through creative exegesis, ad hominem attacks, and genetic fallacies. Nevertheless, the Bible is clear.
As our church worked through The Life of Abraham, we eventually came to this seminal passage. In God's providential timing, we reached this passage the day before the inauguration of President Barack Obama. On the morning of this message, Bishop Gene Robinson (first openly homosexual bishop in the Episcopal church) opened the festivities with his celebrated invocation.

The depravity of the human race has been blatantly displayed in every place throughout all of history. The Apostle Paul was clearly right when he said, “None is righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10).

The Reformer, John Calvin, taught that such things should turn our gaze to God. He wrote, “Indeed, our very poverty better discloses the infinitude of benefits reposing in God. The miserable ruin, into which the rebellion of the first man cast us, especially compels us to look upward.”
We have all sorts of trouble down here because we have neglected to look up there. We are made in the image of God. But many have forgotten God, leaving the phrase “image of God” meaningless. Now is a time to know God and worship Him. Calvin also said, “Nearly all the wisdom we possess, that is to say, true and sound wisdom, consists of two parts: the knowledge of God and of ourselves.” Man no longer knows himself. But there is no way to rediscover the truth about man without first coming to a true knowledge of God.
