Today we did the impossible... Built the worlds biggest floating box fort and set sea to survive 24 hours in the middle of a Lake! Unfortunately things went terribly wrong with our boat and had to be saved by strangers! Big thanks to them and @daniellaurinfilm for rescuing our boat! We still survived the 24 Hours and explored an abandoned island at 3AM!

The world's oceans are so underexplored that if you dive deeper than 3,500 meters, there's a good chance to discover a new species unknown to science. There's also a good chance you'll find debris and garbage. Oceans cover more than 70% of the Earth's surface. The average depth of the oceans is about 3.7 kilometers, and since light can only penetrate to a depth of 100 meters, darkness reigns deeper underwater. Let’s push this statement one step further and conclude that since most of the planet is covered by water, it means that most of the Earth exists in total darkness. Water in the oceans account for almost 96% of the Earth's water. The portion of fresh water compared to seawater is so small that if the fresh water that flows into the ocean is spread over the surface of the ocean, it would have been about 1.25 meters thick. According to the U.S. Journal of Science and Engineering, 94% of all life on Earth lives in water. It means that all of us who live on land belong to a very, very small minority.
So what mysteries lurk in the depths of the oceans? The deeper we go, the more curious it gets. It seems we know more about the surface of Mars than about the ocean floor of our planet. What's going on in the deepest places, we didn't know at all, at least until recently. Lack of light and extreme pressure makes this part of the ocean difficult to explore.
Today we're going on a journey into the very depths. We're going to find out what the bottom of the ocean looks like, what it consists of and what happens there. Who knows what we will find there… We are going to dive deep to the places with most elien conditions!

We went in search of the Sea Gypsies of the Indonesian Archipelago, the Bajo Laut, having heard stories of their incredible diving and fishing skills and their lives spent living as whole families aboard tiny boats, the 'lepa' . We found a world in transition as fishing for subsistence becomes an economy, we found amazing stilt houses build in the middle of the ocean many miles from the nearest settled islands. But did we find any sea gypsies?

Sea level rise is already redrawing coastlines around the world. What happens when the coast retreats through a major city? We look at how the world map will change in the year 2100, and what coastal cities can do to defend themselves.

Correction: An early version of this video suggested that researchers expect to see four feet of sea level rise by the end of the century. While researchers do expect to see at least that level of sea level rise in the future, the exact timing is difficult to project. We regret the error.

Eight houses have been swept into the sea in the Norwegian Arctic after a powerful landside near the town of Alta.

The landslide Wednesday was filmed by local resident Jan Egil Bakkedal who said he ran for his life when he realised what was happening.

One of the houses that was lost belonged to him.

Police said the landslide in the village of Kraakneset was between 650 meters and 800 meters wide (2,145-2,640 feet) and up to 40 meters (132 feet) high.
