While he was there, Ricky met a former Global Mission pioneer who I met several years ago in the Democratic Republic of Congo who takes to the streets with his family for a unique music ministry. Nick Vujicic is an evangelist who has shared his message of hope to over 6 million people in 57 countries. Nick shares how his faith, which is rooted in the Lord Jesus Christ, changed his life forever! Nick Vujicic is the Founder, President and CEO of Life Without Limbs, a non-profit organization whose mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through Nick’s own life.

Vujicic was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, in 1982, to Dušanka and Borislav Vujičić, devout Serbian Orthodox emigrants from Yugoslavia. Nick’s parents became active in a Melbourne church. His mother attended nursing school at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne while his father worked in business management. Nick was born with phocomelia without some fully formed limbs. According to his autobiography, his mother refused to see him or hold him while the nurse held him in front of her, but she and her husband eventually accepted their son's condition and understood it as God's plan for their son.
Vujicic has two small and deformed feet, one of which he calls his "chicken drumstick" because of its shape. Originally, Nick was born with the toes of that foot fused. An operation was performed to separate the toes so that Nick could use them as fingers to grab, turn a page, or perform other functions. Nick has been able to use his foot to operate an electric wheelchair, a computer and a mobile phone. Vujicic notes that he had an "amazingly normal childhood".
Vujicic thrived in his teenage and young adult years despite being bullied.
Nick graduated from Griffith University at the age of 21 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a double major in accountancy and financial planning.

Since his first speaking engagement at age 19, Nick has traveled around the world, sharing his story with millions, sometimes in stadiums filled to capacity, speaking to a range of diverse groups such as students, teachers, young people, business professionals and church congregations of all sizes. Today this dynamic young evangelist has accomplished more than most people achieve in a lifetime. He’s an author, musician, actor, and his hobbies include fishing, painting and swimming. In 2007, Nick made the long journey from Australia to southern California where he is the president of the international non-profit ministry, Life Without Limbs.

Nick says, “If God can use a man without arms and legs to be His hands and feet, then He will certainly use any willing heart!” Nick’s latest foray into radio will expand his platform for inviting men and women all around the world to embrace the liberating hope and message of Jesus Christ.

Nick prayed very hard that God would give him arms and legs, and initially told God that, if his prayer remained unanswered, Nick would not praise him indefinitely. However, a key turning point in his faith came when his mother showed him a newspaper article about a man dealing with a severe disability. Vujicic realized he wasn't unique in his struggles and began to embrace his lack of limbs. After this, Nick realized his accomplishments could inspire others and became grateful for his life.

Nick gradually figured out how to live a full life without limbs, adapting many of the daily skills limbed people accomplish without thinking. Nick writes with two toes on his left foot and a special grip that slid onto his big toe. Nick knows how to use a computer and can type up to 45 words per minute using the "heel and toe" method. Nick has also learned to throw tennis balls, play drum pedals, get a glass of water, comb his hair, brush his teeth, answer the phone and shave, in addition to participating in golf, swimming, and even sky-diving.

During secondary school, Nick was elected captain of MacGregor State in Queensland and worked with the student council on fundraising events for local charities and disability campaigns. When Nick was seventeen, he started to give talks at his prayer group, and later founded his non-profit organization, Life Without Limbs.

Vujicic was born in Melbourne, in 1982 to Dušanka and Borislav Vujičić, Serbian immigrants from Yugoslavia.

He was born with tetra-amelia without fully formed limbs. According to his autobiography, his mother refused to see him or hold him when the nurse held him in front of her, but she and her husband eventually accepted the condition and understood it as "God's plan for their son."

After his mother showed him a newspaper article about a man dealing with a severe disability when he was seventeen, he started to give talks at his prayer group. Vujicic graduated from Griffith University at the age of 21 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a double major in accountancy and financial planning.

In 2005, Vujicic founded Life Without Limbs, an international non-profit organisation and ministry. In 2007, he founded Attitude is Altitude, a secular motivational speaking company.

Vujicic starred in the short film The Butterfly Circus. At the 2010 Method Fest Independent Film Festival, he was awarded Best Actor in a Short Film for his starring performance as Will.

A beautiful love story about Nick Vujicic and his wife Kanae Miyahara is spreading on the internet.

Nick was born with no arms and no legs, and he never thought he would find his soul mate who wants to share the rest life with him. "I definitely had doubts that I'd ever got married, that I never met anybody who would love to spend the rest life with me," Nick said recently in a video interview.

How did Nick Vujicic Meet His Wife?

After a suicide attempt at age 10, God worked in his heart in a mighty way. Determined to never give up again, he has grown into an incredible young man, using his testimony to glorify God.

God blesses the people who are willing to follow Him. Surprisingly, Nick met his own princess Kanae Miyahara. They fell in love at the first sight.

"I fell in love with him the way he is now," Kanae said. Before she met Nick, she had dated with other guy for a physical goal, but she became tired of that. "The moment I met Nick, I was looking for other thing, and all the things I found in him," Kanae said. "He is not only a boyfriend material, but he could be my husband."

When Kanae met Nick in 2008, she was impressed by his signature generosity in spirit and good humor. For her, Nick is so handsome, and "the perfect match." For Nick, "it was electric, when she stood by me, I just felt right."

What Qualities or Characteristics Attracted Nick to Kanae Miyahara?

They also revealed the moment when Nick proposed marriage to Kanae. Many people might question how Nick put the ring on her finger? However, it was solved by his unique ingenuity.

"Baby, can I kiss your hands?" Nick recalled, "I'm putting the ring all the way down on her finger." Kanae felt Nick was biting her finger, but then she saw it was a ring.

"Baby, I love you, would you love to marry me and spend the rest of your life with me?" Nick said, Kanae just cried.

A lot of people might be curious that whether it is difficult for them to have intimacy because of Nick's physical disabilities. Nick said no problem, "we are very affectionately." And Kanae smiled, "He's got everything he needs."

After marriage, they settled their house in South California. Nick focuses on his writing and inspirational speech. Kanae works as a wife, taking care of the household.

Even though they have some challenges in their lives, Nick said that his wife was ready for those, and he was amazed at her love.

Another great blessing comes soon. Would you believe it or not? Kanae got pregnant and gave birth to a healthy baby boy early this year.

"Nick is very deserving of such a beautiful wife and a beautiful baby boy! He has been obedient and spread the Good News and given testimony all over the world and now God has rewarded this faithful servant," a comment from Judy Lane Cole.

Nick Vujicic was born in Australia to a Serbian immigrant family, with a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs. Most of his childhood he struggled with depression, and after a suicide attempt he decided to concentrate on what he did have instead on what he didn't. He realized that his life story inspires many people.
