memoir "Spare". My review is subjective and my reactions are personal opinions, not facts! Welcome back to Down On The Farm, today on the channel we are going to check out the Largest Farms in Ukraine. Ukraine is currently undergoing an historic transformation that will be felt throughout the world. The globally significant progress I am referring to is agricultural land reform. For centuries, Ukraine has been known as “the breadbasket of Europe.” This title is entirely accurate, given that Ukraine is home to around a quarter of the world’s super-fertile “chernozem” or “black soil.”

However, Ukrainians have not been able to fully capitalize on these agricultural riches during the thirty years since the country gained independence. Instead, independent Ukraine became one of only six nations globally without an agricultural land market, joining the likes of North Korea and Venezuela. Thankfully, the situation is now being transformed and Ukraine is gearing up to take its rightful place as an agricultural superpower. The untapped potential of Ukraine’s agricultural sector is staggering. The country boasts around 42 million hectares of agricultural land. At present, 32 million hectares are cultivated annually, representing an area larger than Italy. Given the size and fertility of the country’s farmland, together with the vast scope for increased harvests and greater efficiency through ongoing modernization, it is no exaggeration to state that Ukraine can feed the world. Coconut Farming.
The coconut palm is referred to as Kalpavriksha, the tree of heaven, as each and every part of the palm is useful to mankind in one way or other. It provides food, drink, fuel, and timber. With good farm management practices farmers can achieve maximum yield and decent profit as well. Coconut is cultivated in more than 93 countries of the world and Indonesia, Philippines, and India are the major producing countries in the world.

Fish Farming.
Fish is one of the favorite items on the food menu of almost 60% of Indians. So market demand is always high for fish items. If we consider the global demand also, the total requirement becomes very high. The main source of fish is the sea. but the global fish harvest from the sea is decreasing rapidly.
The only way we can ensure the availability of fish to meet increasing demand is through fish farms. Inland freshwater fish plays a major role here. With a good business plan and decision, we can convert this opportunity into a successful small-scale farm.

Integrated Coconut & Fish Farming.

Integrated Farming is a whole farm management system that aims to deliver more sustainable agriculture. Integrated Farming combines modern tools and technologies with traditional practices according to a given site and situation, often employing many cultivation techniques in a small growing area.
Coconut requires plenty of water. So canal irrigation system in coconut farming was getting popular. Already so many farmers adopted this technology. If farmers integrate fish farming with coconut farming, then they can get a good profit. In canals, they can grow fish very easily.
At first canals and beds are made with the help of JCB. In the bed, you can plant coconut plants. In between those plants, you can plant pineapples as well. So, you can get much more profit. Then rear fish in the canal water.

Selection of Fish Breeds.
The selection of Fish breeds plays a major role in the sustainability of our business. The decision should be based on market demand, maintenance point of view, availability of the resource, effective utilization of resources, etc. Carp items such as Catla, Rohu, Grass carp, Common carp, etc are suitable for Indian ponds. Other breeds such as Tilapia, Catfish, etcetera are also cultivated in Indian Ponds. Polyculture, growing two or more fish breeds in the same pond is the suitable strategy for the optimum utilization of resources. You can get quality baby fish from the nearest fish farmer or from the fisheries department.

Bottom line.
This is how you can integrate fish farming with coconut farming. Grow some other crops in between coconut plants. So that you can produce more food from a small area, at the same time you can earn more profit from your existing land.

Most PROFITABLE Crops Small Farms Should Grow & Sell..

Welcome back to Down On The Farm, today on this channel we are going to talk about “ Best Cash Crops for Small Farms” On a given day in the life of a farmer, there are multiple aspects and areas that demand attention, including soil health, crops, market, labour, climate, farming methods and technologies being used. Each factor plays a role in ensuring success and profitability in a farm business. However, when it comes to small scale producers, it is of paramount importance to mindfully identify and choose crops that are capable of bringing relatively more profit even with minimal capital investment and care. These crops are basically called cash crops as they ensure maximum profit and return even on a small farm and are mainly grown for revenue and export rather than sustenance.

Small farmers can ensure the highest price for their produce by selling it directly to customers or making value-added products out of it. However, taking care of all marketing and sales on your own also means more hard work and time. After a certain scale, it becomes difficult to sell all your harvests for maximum price in the time that is available to you alongside production. As your farm expands, you may need to consider selling, at least some parts of your produce, to wholesalers for a lower price to get your produce selling faster and with ease.Check this video out and stay updated!
