BRIGHTEN UP!
John 16:33
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may
have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be
of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
I love the title of today’s devotion; it says “Brighten up!” That means cheer up and get excited.
In today’s memory verse, the Lord Jesus told His disciples that there’ll be some hard times in the last days but that they shouldn’t be sad. He told them to cheer up because He has already overcome the world. That’s good news! You shouldn’t let anything frighten you or make you sad because Jesus has overcome them all.
So, brighten up and keep your smile on, because you’re born of God and a world overcomer through Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I’m cheerful, excited, and full of joy because Jesus has overcome the world for me. Hallelujah!
