I did a poll and many of you are asking for more beginner level pregnancy workouts! This week's pregnancy workout is designed to be beginner friendly (those who didn't exercise prior to pregnancy or who haven't exercised in a while). It's also great if you are feeling a bit tired, but still want to get the benefits of movement. We do a warm up, cardio, body strength and a cool down/stretch. If you are in your second trimester and looking for a SAFE and EFFECTIVE Pregnancy Pilates Workout, this 2nd Trimester workout is for YOU! In 25 minutes we will warm up, then train the entire body, and cool down with beautiful stretches at the end. Exercising in the 2nd trimester is so important so have a healthy and fit pregnancy and to reduce any prenatal pains.
In this workout I make sure we do pregnancy safe moves. This means no crunches, situps, no exercises where you lie on your belly or put too much strains on your ligaments.

Many women wonder if they can exercise/work out during the first trimester. The short answer is yes, with some considerations. The research says that most pregnant women are not exercising enough so, if you were active before pregnancy and you have no underlying medical issues, you should be able to continue those activities as normal with some precautions. If you haven't exercised much before, consult a medical professional and you might want to consider waiting till the 2nd trimester before starting a new exercise program.

Today we are doing a 10-Minute Pregnancy Core Workout! While it is true we want to avoid some ab exercises like crunches and sit up. It is important to do safe core exercises during pregnancy.
These core exercises for pregnancy are great to add to your daily routine or several times per week to prepare your core for birth and pushing for an easier delivery. Also, keeping up with your deep inner core work will be beneficial for healing faster after birth. These are also helpful for decreasing back pain & SI joint pain.
These are safe for all trimesters and no equipment needed!
