There has potentially been a significant development in talks between Chelsea and Napoli over a deal for Victor Osimhen.

Thumbprint Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup room temp unsalted butter
1/2 cup sugar (plus 3-4 tbsp for rolling)
2 large egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup jam/jelly/preserves of any flavor you like
1/2 tsp baking powder

Preheat oven to 350.
Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl until it turns fluffy and light in color
Add egg yolks one at a time
Add in the vanilla and mix
Add the flour, salt and baking powder until dough is just coming together.
Make 1 1/2 tablespoon sized dough balls. Roll into the sugar and place on baking pan.
Use your thumb or a small spoon to make an indent in the cookie. Spoon your choice of jelly, jam or preserves to fill.
Bake 10-15 minutes or just until the edges are slightly browning.
Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. Enjoy!

Bistec Encebollado
1 pack of minute steaks
Goya adobo seasoning with pepper
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp white vinegar
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 yellow or white onion

Note: Pound to tenderize the meat if you can.
The night before marinate the bistec by seasoning with adobo and brushing minced garlic onto both sides. Coat with olive oil and half the vinegar and refrigerate.
Cut the onion into thin rounds, set aside. Add the rest of the vinegar and the vegetable oil to a large pan. You want the vinegar/oil mixture to cover most of the bottom of the pan. Quickly sear both sides of the steak in high heat, then add a little water and a couple of onion rounds (these will melt and flavor the broth, we will add the rest later.) For the water about a third of a cup should do. Just enough to fully cover the bottom of the pan, but we don't want to completely submerge the steaks.
Lower the temperature to med-low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes flip the steaks and check for salt content in the broth. The water should not evaporate too much that the broth is too salty or there is no broth at all. If needed, you can add more water or more adobo throughout. Cover and cook for 15 more minutes, then flip and check broth again. Then one more 15 minute cook, totaling 45 minutes.
At 45 minutes you should add the rest of the onions. Try to shove them under the steaks so they can be cooked by the broth. Cook covered for about 10-15 minutes until onions are soft and translucent. Serve with medium grain white rice and spoon lots of broth and onion on top of the rice!

Seca de Pollo
1 lb chicken drumsticks
1 red onion, sliced into half moons
1 scallion, chopped
1 large green bell pepper, sliced
1 large beefsteak tomato
2 red potatoes, cubed
Fresh parsley, chopped
Fresh cilantro, chopped
4-5 cloves garlic, minced
Adobo seasoning
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp cumin
Achiote seasoning packet
1 chicken bouillon cube
2-3 bay leaves
Dried oregano
Salt & pepper
Olive oil
Directions
Remove skin and season chicken with salt, pepper, and cumin. Heat about 2 tablespoons of olive oil in the bottom of a large pot. Add chicken and season with adobo. Sear on each side until brown, about 3 minutes per side. Once browned, remove from pot and set aside. Depending on the size of your pot, you may need to do this in batches. To the same pot add red onion, bell pepper, scallions, butter, and the whole achiote seasoning packet. Stir to melt butter and combine. Let cook until vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes or so. Add the garlic, salt, pepper, and dried oregano to taste. Cook for another few minutes before adding the chicken, including any juices, back in. Cover the chicken with the vegetables to make sure everything is distributed well. Add enough water to just barely cover the chicken and give it another stir. Add the bay leaves and bring to a simmer. Using a cheese grater, grate tomato directly into the pot. Add the bouillon cube and stir well. Add potatoes, a little more adobo, and half parsley and cilantro. Cover and cook until potatoes are just barely done (when you can stick a fork in them, but they don’t fall apart), about 10 minutes. Taste the soup and add more salt, pepper, or adobo as needed. Remove lid and cook for another 5-10 minutes to let reduce. Finish with the rest of your fresh herbs. Serve with white rice and avocado!

Anal Naga tribe displaying their traditional outfit during Sangai Festival in Manipur.

The Anal people are a scheduled tribe found in Manipur, India and in Myanmar. They speak their own language, Anal. They are closely related to the Naga people.

The Sangai Festival, previously known as the Tourism festival, was renamed in 2010. The state animal of Manipur, the Sangai Deer, being the inspiration for the name. The deer’s name “Sangai” was encouraged due to its peculiar posture and behavior while running. This Sangai, rare and only found in Manipur, bears resemblance to species found in Thailand, Myanmar and China, all belonging to the same family.

The Manipur Sangai Festival is held annually from 21 – 30 November and is the largest festival organized by the Tourism Department of Manipur. It is held at Kangjeibung, or the Polo ground.

The Bheigya Chandra Open Air Theater at the Palace Compound hosted the cultural part of the festival and featured performances from various institutes across several Manipur districts like Senapati, Tamenglong, Chura Chandpur, Chandel and Ukhrul. Performances were not only from Manipur - the neighboring states of Sikkim and Assam were also part of the program. The open-air theater had a busy program schedule every day of the festival.

For those interested in art, the Mandalay Art Club hosted a Myanmar art exhibition on the second day of the festival. A fashion show was hosted to showcase designs of the designers of the region while another show featured only the traditional attire of Manipur.

Visitors had the opportunity to watch the indigenous sports of Manipur like Sagol Kangjei - the local version of polo. Other indigenous sports played were Thang ta or Manipuri martial arts and Mukna kangjei, or foot hockey. The 7th Manipur Polo International competition was the highlight of the festival, with teams from India, Germany, Thailand and the US competing for the prize. This game is played on the Manipuri Pony, a rare variety of equine found only within the state.

Stalls, set up on the polo ground, boasted handicrafts from the region, as well as a variety of indigenous food items.

Adventure sports were a big attraction as Zorbing and trekking were organised by the Mountaineering and Trekking Association of Manipur. For the more adventurous, there was paragliding, hosted at the Koirengei airfield. The Loktak Lake joined in the festivities by hosting a fishing competition and a boat race.

This spectacular exhibition of everything truly Manipur, ended with a closing ceremony of choreographed on the theme of 'Manipur Culture' at the BOAT, Palace Compound.

The Republic of Côte d'Ivoire is a country located on the south coast of West Africa. It borders Guinea and Liberia to the west, Burkina Faso and Mali to the north, Ghana to the east, and the Gulf of Guinea (Atlantic Ocean) to the south. The area became a protectorate of France in 1843 and was consolidated as a French colony in 1893 amid the European scramble for Africa. It achieved independence in 1960. Ivory Coast has a surface area of about 322,463 km2 and a population of about 24 million people. The capital city of the country is yamoussoukro and Abidjan is the Economic Hub of the country. When it comes to west Africa, Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire) probably isn’t the first country you think of. Most people are much more familiar with Nigeria, Ghana, and Senegal. But despite being lesser-known, Ivory Coast is well worth knowing about. It has a long and storied history, like many of the other countries in the region, and unique cultural customs.

1. It is the world’s largest cocoa of producer

The Ivory coast is the world leader in the production and export of cocoa beans. The country produces around 1/3 of the entire world’s supply of cocoa. Most of the beans are grown by shareholding farmers on small plots throughout the country. In 2013 it shifted 1.448million metric tonnes of cocoa beans (31.6 percent of the world’s total), nearly double its nearest rival, Ghana. Large chocolate producers such as Cadbury, Hershey's, and Nestle buy Ivorian cocoa futures and options through Euronext whereby world prices are set.


2. It has the largest church in the world

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in Yamoussoukro is the largest church in the world. It has an area of 30,000 square meters and passed St. Peter’s Basilica when it was built. The cost to build it certainly wasn’t cheap, and the total came in at an astounding US$300 million. Finished in 1990, its design is said to have been inspired by its Vatican City sibling, with a hefty dose of Renaissance and Baroque style. It can hold about 18,000 worshipers, though is very rarely full.

3. It is one of the largest producer of cashew Nuts in the world

From tiny harvests two decades ago, the West African country now holds the cashew crown, supplanting India as the biggest producer of the nut. Helped by price guarantees for farmers, its harvest doubled from 380,000 tonnes in 2013 to 711,000 tonnes in 2017, amounting to 22 percent of global output. This year's production of the nut - known locally as "grey gold" - is expected to attain 750,000 tonnes. Curvy, rich in taste and filled with protein, the cashew is a familiar ingredient in salads, stir-fries, and other meals. But it also features in a widening range of other food products including cashew butter and cheese, and its oil has found uses in medicine, industrial resins, and cosmetics. Currently, the sector includes 250,000 producers grouped into a score of cooperatives and employs some 1.5 million people, directly or indirectly.




4. Life is expectancy is low in Ivory Coast

While Africa is the only continent that contains nations where the average life expectancy is below 60 - and there are 21 of them - the fifth lowest is in the Ivory Coast, at 53.3 years. The lowest is nearby Sierra Leone at 50.1 years.

AP NEWS: A man with an AK-style rifle pointed the firearm’s muzzle into Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, as the former president was playing a round of golf, prompting the U.S. Secret Service to open fire, according to law enforcement officials. The former president is safe and unharmed, according to the FBI. “In what appears to be an attempted assassination” of the Republican presidential candidate.

The suspect dropped the weapon and fled in an SUV, and was later taken into custody in a neighboring county, officials said. They were not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
