The missionaries brought lots of changes to us, many of them positive. One such positive change is the watershed one brought upon us by the translating of the Bible into Yoruba. We, as a people, will never go back to what we were as a result of the initiative of Ajayi Crowther and his host of parent missionaries. This video provides insight into our journey as Yoruba people and struggles towards togetherness.

Here, You will sure be reminded of something you might have missed, overlooked, forgotten and think less important of, to make your life easier. Awareness and Information Is Key.
Tales of the Yoruba people are bigger than Africa. Yes, you're right. In this episode, I'm looking for the real and accurate history of Alaafin Oropontoniyun, the Alaafin of the ancient Oyo kingdoms. The first and only female Alaafin of Oyo. We talk about how the Yorubas have expanded their empire to (Kingdom of Dahomey) Cotonou, Benin Republic, where we just returned, and how the Yorubas have a large population and influence in Benin Republic, Togo, and Ghana.
Orompoto was the first female Alaafin in the old Oyo Empire. She controlled an empire that encompassed what is now western and north-central Nigeria. When her father died, her brother, Prince Eguguoju, succeeded him as the next in line to the throne. He died in his youth, though, without a male heir. Prince Ajiboyede and Prince Tella, her younger brothers, were too young to inherit the throne at the time. As a result, Orompoto would step down as regent and ascend to the throne. The council of chiefs objected to this decision because the kingdom had never had a female monarch before.
I hear there is a Yoruba agitation going on, and many people have been saying that Yorubas have powers. I'd like to know whether this is real and if the Yoruba nation would be able to stand up to the government with our power. Who are the Yoruba? Where are they from? Why are some people so quick to associate the Yoruba with Egypt, Arabia and the Mediterranean without a shred of authoritative data?
Of course Yoruba and Benin history cut across each other. Each time I post a video about either of the two, I've always noticed a huge arguments and disagreements going on. It's not just on my YouTube channels. I've always noticed it on Facebook too then I decided to make a research about what has always been the problem.

Where did Yoruba people originate from? This is the first Google search related to the Yoruba people of Nigeria, which are located in West Africa. Araba Yemi Elebuibon explains the Yoruba conception of creation as it is portrayed in Odu Ifa. Some people mistakenly believed that the Yoruba people, who reside in the southwest of Nigeria, were race that has been existing since the time of their ancient father ODUDUWA, who migrated from the historic city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
Yoruba people are not Arabs. Yoruba is from the kingdom of Ife in southwest Nigeria, in the Yoruba language it means 'land is expanding'. The Yoruba people are one of the largest ethnic groups in Nigeria and are also found in Togo, Benin, Ghana and other West African countries. The Yoruba people have a long history of trade and commerce, as well as art and culture. The Yoruba people are known for their beautiful architecture and wood carvings. They have been influenced by many different cultures throughout history. The Yoruba people have a vibrant culture that still thrives today. The Yoruba people celebrate many festivals and holidays. In recent years we have seen a very welcome uptick in the number of fantasy books inspired by West African folklore. The Afrofuturism and Africanfuturism movements have paved the way for Black authors across the diaspora to build worlds and tell stories influenced by their heritage, allowing wider audiences to finally meet the spirits of Yoruba lore. But who are these deities, and where do they come from?

Looking for American history online for your homeschool? Here's why The Nomadic Professor might be the best choice for your homeschool.
It's a history filled with the conquerors and the conquered. It includes moments of great accomplishment, but also moments of great atrocities. Learning the history of the United States can be a rather fraught endeavor.
My view of American history has changed in the last few years. I've tried to reflect that in the materials that I'm choosing to teach my own kids and classes and in the materials that I recommend. But it's not always easy to find an American history curriculum that includes a more complete perspective.
I've recently had the opportunity to review a great new-to-me homeschool curriculum for learning American history online. It's one I've been excited about and I've enjoyed exploring it.
The Nomadic Professor is an online platform that currently offers U.S. History as well as a Media Literacy course. Class videos are taught by Dr. W. Kesler Jackson. One thing that makes the history courses from The Nomadic Professor unique is that Dr. Jackson teaches on location. He's traveled all over the world making history videos. And The Nomadic Professor history courses take his teaching materials and combine them with handouts, guided notes, quizzes and document lessons to create a challenging and engaging way to learn history.
Here are just a few reasons that The Nomadic Professor will be your homeschool's top choice for American history online. Visit the blog post for an awesome giveaway as well as a coupon code for using The Nomadic Professor in your homeschool- https://www.aswewalkalongthero....ad.com/american-hist

The Nomadic Professor offers a unique and rigorous history curriculum which you can read all about in my Curriculum Review at The WOLFe Pack. But I also wanted to point out four important things that I believe set The Nomadic Professor apart from everybody else.
In a peaceful village full of life, the story of Fatima's secret love and the tensions caused by the conflict between Zahra and the nomad widow are attractively depicted. Fatemeh, a woman with a compassionate and humane spirit, is in love with the son of the engineer's family, a dervish who keeps her love in silence and secrecy. This love is sudden and interesting not only for her, but for the village as well, as she becomes involved as a symbol of life choices and matters of the heart.
Zahra fights alone with her motivations to marry her relative, regardless of Fatima's wishes and wishes. Meanwhile, Nomad's widow, a strong and independent character, with a rich historical and cultural environment, plays an important role in the middle of these conflicts. With his insistence to preserve family and cultural values, he stands against all Zahra's efforts to lose Fatima.
Medina, as a character in the story who tries to solve conflicts with his intelligence and thinking, is always trying to bring peace and tranquility to all parties, but he is bound to face failures as well.
Follow this story full of secret love, family tensions, and cultural conflicts, and learn how these characters struggle with life's challenges and try to establish peace and reconciliation in the heart of the village, while personal feelings and cultural values They maintain themselves.
