'Screenagers' film highlights technology, teen mental health in Missoula

Parents and young adults filled a room at Big Sky High School on Monday for a showing of the documentary called "Screenagers Next Chapter."

The film was the second part of a trilogy highlighting how technology impacts kids' mental health.

"National emergency was declared in 2021 with Youth Mental Health in the U.S., and it's just gotten worse since then, to help flip the script on anxiety, stress and depression among kids, young adults," said senior community health specialist Peggy Schmidt


Filmmaker Delaney Ruston brings in professionals from the field of psychology, child psychology, child development researchers, addiction experts and more to teach parents what the tech revolution is doing.
