Andrew Brunson moved to Turkey with his family to be a missionary for the Christian church. Over 20 years, he started churches and provided aid to refugees of war. He and his wife, Norine, attended the 2019 Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom at the U.S. Department of State. This is his story of being falsely accused of crimes, being jailed for years, and becoming an advocate for religious freedom.
