Hello Everybody, in this Video, I have tried to put explain the major concerns of the farmers and respective government responses. This Video will help you understand the reasons behind bringing the 3 Farm Laws as well as the Reasons behind the ongoing Farm Protest.

Here are some key takeaways:
-The simplest solution against the protest of the farmers with respect to the farm laws can be to include statutory backing to the MSP (Minimum Support Price) and procurement in the new Law to eradicate the fear of the farmers.

- Giving farmers the choice to sell without the help of middlemen will be of great use only if there are roads that link villages to markets, climate-controlled storage facilities, the electricity supply is made reliable and available to power those facilities, and food processing companies who compete to buy their produce.

- Farmers fear that the ordinances will disrupt the mandi system of marketing and also hamper the selling of products at MSP.

- These would serve as an “additional marketing channel” for farmers, even as the APMCs “will continue to function”.

- The freedom of choice to sell outside the regulated mandis should help farmers realize better prices for their produce.

- The ordinance itself does not mention anything, directly or indirectly, to suggest an end or phasing out of MSP-based government procurement.

- No provision enumerated under the new ordinance regarding MSP. Farmers may get a price for their crops below the MSP if selling their produce outside the mandis.
