God's Grace Expressed in Ruth's Story - Pastor Joseph Prince

The lesson here is BIG for such a brief narrative. It demonstrates how God is using the seemingly insignificant, little stories of regular people to build his big narrative. This brief narrative is purposefully introduced and concluded by the greater biblical narrative. Ruth demonstrates how God is active in ordinary people's daily lives. All of the characters experience the typical difficulties of life (death, relocation, a lack of resources, obligations to family, etc.), but they also discover that God is using all of the particulars to craft a tale of redemption. The Book of Ruth inspires us to see how each day's activities fit into God's grander scheme for our lives and the world.
