HOPE FOR THE NEEDY INTERNATIONAL CRUSADE MESSAGE –DAY 2
MINISTER: PASTOR LAZARUS MUOKA
TEXT: Proverbs 6:3-11, John 2:8, 2 Corinthians 6:1-2
THEME: HOPE FOR THE NEEDY (PART 2)
What God did yesterday and with what He did in our midst some few minutes ago just proved that He is the hope for the needy. He can never change (Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 10:8). Today the Lord is set to give us solution to all the problems we are facing (John 5:5-13; Psalms 34:6).
We shall consider this message under the following sub-headings:
1. The needy and their cry
2. God’s intervention; our response and benefits
POINT ONE: THE NEEDY AND THEIR CRY
Remember needs are not wants, needs bring terrible sorrow. It goes in line with poverty, barrenness, when one is without joy, surrounded by enemies, in poverty and in prison. Such a person needs freedom and you will go with your freedom today. The evil hand after you today will wither. If there is something that’s necessary that you can’t do without, that your need will be met today because that’s why God brought me here, to wipe away your tears (Psalms 86:1). Sometimes, they are confused and cry as a result of not getting their needs (Psalms 70:5, Psalms 69:1).
The Lord has brought you to give you your victory and deliverance and nothing can hinder it. The blood of Jesus is here to nullify that curse that the enemy has placed on you (Amos 8:6). The needy are always crying to be free and to meet their needs but God through His love has decided to meet our needs even in this programmed (Psalms 40:1).
POINT TWO: GOD’S INTERVENTION; OUR RESPONSE AND BENEFITS
When the first man fell, God did not waste time to intervene to prove that He is the Hope for the needy and planned for the salvation of man. Today our God cannot change, He intervened in different cases of the needy in the Bible and He will intervene in our cases today. Hebrews 13:6, Exodus 3:6, John 3:16
The Lord intervened when the whole world was in sin by sending His only begotten son to die for us through His mercy.
Luke 13:10, He intervened to heal, deliver and to bless in the Bible (Matthew 4:23, Matthew 12:15, Matthew 15:30). The Lord Jesus also intervened during His earthly ministry by raising one that was dead back to life (Luke 7:12). He also intervened for the barren by giving them children. For example, Sarah — Abraham's mother Genesis 21:1.
He made Rebecca, Sarah, Elizabeth and Hannah to laugh, He will make you laugh. It doesn’t matter how many years of barrenness, He will break that yoke Psalms 113:5. The Lord has made a promise and it will come to pass. He is the hope of the needy, He did many signs and wonders and healed all manner of sicknesses in the Bible.
Since we have seen His intervention, therefore our response to this message is to call upon God to intervene in our cases today. Let’s make sure we will come with faith and genuine repentance and ask of anything so it will be granted. Matthew 11:27-28, Philippians 4:19, Matthew 6:33, Matthew 7:7-8, 1John3:8. The soul that sinneth shall die, Matthew 11:28, John 1:12.
