What does Donald Trump’s election win mean for the four major legal cases against him?

Donald Trump became the first person convicted of a felony to be elected president of the United States when The Associated Press called the race early Wednesday morning.

Earlier this year, a jury in New York found Trump guilty in an illegal hush money scheme intended to cover up a sexual encounter with an adult film actress before the 2016 election. Trump faced a Nov. 26 court date to receive his sentence in that case.

William Brangham explains the status of that case, and the three others facing Trump, now that the former president has won a second, nonconsecutive, four-year term in the White House.
