Napoli, the newly crowned champions of Serie A, secured a 1-0 victory over Fiorentina at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, thanks to a penalty kick from Victor Osimhen, the league's top scorer. Osimhen had missed an earlier penalty, which Fiorentina's goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano saved, but he made amends in the 74th minute when he converted his second chance from the spot with a stronger shot.

Napoli had already clinched their first league title in 33 years with a 1-1 draw against Udinese on Thursday, making them unreachable for their rivals for the Scudetto. The Napoli fans joyfully celebrated their team's achievement, chanting "It's us, it's us, we are the champions of Italy," while the Fiorentina players gave them a guard of honor as they walked out onto the pitch.

The pre-match display at one end of the stadium featured a giant Italian flag and the number three to signify Napoli's third Italian championship and their first since Diego Maradona led them to two titles in 1987 and 1990. After the final whistle, more celebrations followed, directed by Italian film director Paolo Sorrentino.

Hours before the match, fans were already singing and chanting in and around the stadium, while the team bus was accompanied by flag-waving supporters on scooters through streets lined with cheering fans. The noise inside the stadium reached a fever pitch when Napoli came out for the warmup, with midfielder Matteo Politano sporting dyed blue hair, and teammates Elif Elmas and Giovanni Simeone sporting blue streaks in their hair.
