The agriculture, forestry and fishing sector represents the biggest growth in the primary sector

The local economy has recorded a fourth consecutive quarter of growth with a 1.2% GDP expansion in the second quarter. According to Stats SA the economy is still 1.4% smaller than it was before the COVID-19 pandemic. The agriculture, forestry and fishing sector represents the biggest growth in the primary sector at 6.2%.
