John 19:31-37
Every scene on Calvary tells a story.
Even after Jesus is dead, the blood still flows.

The bruises blacken, the swelling begins to close his eyes, his face distorts to a mass of unrecognizable flesh as he trudges along the via dolorosa.

Mary would not have known her son had she not followed him.

Isaiah 53:2-6
Isaiah 52:14
Heb 9:11-15
Lev 17:11

The word "blood" is mentioned 22 times in Hebrews alone, yet,
Bible translations omit it,
many hymnals have dropped it,
publishers don't want to print it,
preachers don't want to preach it,
listeners don't want to hear it.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

Blood has always been the most valued currency.

It has sealed marriages, brotherhoods and covenants.

God has covenanted with himself and us to bring forgiveness from his shed blood.

We had nothing to put into the covenant.

Ps 50:12
Vs 10,11
Heb 9:22
Rev 13:8
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9

Don't try to improve on that.
