The Spirit of Faith - Chidera Bisong (July 27, 2023)

In this first part of the teaching series on the theme "Faith Unveiled: Worship and the Fear of God," we explore the concept of faith, explaining how it is predicated on the Word of God and built through hearing and believing in the Word. The Word of God, eternal in nature, exists before all things and endures after all things, thus making it the safest place to be. The power of the Word of God is highlighted, not only in its ability to create all things and its supremacy, even above God's name, but also in its ability to bring life, deliver from addictions, and execute divine judgments. The Word's qualities, such as its faithfulness, truthfulness, righteousness, and its ability to judge and make war, are also discussed. The sermon concludes with a call to understand the gravity of doubting the Word of God, using the story of Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, as an example.
