The Subject of Faith - Chidera Bisong (July 28, 2023)

In this second part of the teaching series on the theme "Faith Unveiled: Worship and the Fear of God," the concept of faith is explored as a divine gift that propels us into action. Examples from the Bible, such as the stories of Abel, Enoch, Noah, and Abraham, illustrate that faith encompasses not only belief but also obedience to God's word. The power of faith stems not from greed or lust, but from the word of God. The relationship between faith, hope, and love is also discussed, with love identified as the force that powers faith and hope. The teaching concludes with an encouragement to read Hebrews 11 and to understand faith as a journey. Even in the absence of immediate results, the importance of continuing to hope and believe in God's word is emphasized.
