The Kingdom of God was preached by Jesus Christ and those who wished to follow Him had to forsake all, deny themselves, pick up their cross and follow Jesus because this is what He said. The disciples were subjected to the many teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ and they were subjected to many tests along the way. Many of them who did many wonders in His Name gave up on Jesus because of His words. Jesus was left with very few disciples but they understood that the words of Jesus Christ are the words of eternal life. Jesus said to His disciples in John 14:15-16: "15 “If you love Me, [d]keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another [e]Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth".

And that is exactly what happened with the twelve. Yes, only twelve people from the whole of Israel, the chosen nation of God, those whom He had saved so many times. He came to His own but they did not recognize Him because they loved darkness more than Him.

Jesus commanded His disciples in Matthew 28:19-20:
"19 Go [a]therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” [b]Amen."

In Acts chapter 2 we can read how the Lord sent the Holy Spirit to His disciples and what they could not do before it was now possible with the Helper, the Holy Spirit. As they spoke with new tongues people from many nations were perplexed and I read in Acts chapter 2 starting with verse 40: "And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Saved from what? Again, as Apostle Peter was saying, "saved from this perverse generation" and praise Jesus, "they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine"!

The Doctrine of The Apostles is the teachings and commandments of their beloved Master, Jesus Christ.
It was and it still is the most hated doctrine in the whole world because of one reason, people love darkness more than light so many manufacture their own ways to the Kingdom of God but they will have the shock of their lives when they will say, Lord, haven't we done this and that in your Name? And Jesus will declare to them: "I never knew you, depart from me, you who practice lawlessness".

The Angel said to Joseph in Matthew 1:21:
"And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name [a]Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Dear friends, what do we practice day today? Who are we following? Whose doctrine are we following and practicing?

I encourage you and I exhort you to follow Jesus Christ to be saved from this perverse generation, to be saved from your sins. I encourage you and I exhort you to love Jesus with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

I encourage you and I exhort you to steadfastly follow Jesus' teachings and to obey all things that He commanded His disciples and you will receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. Jesus will reveal Himself to you, He will be in and with you to teach and guide you to help you every step of the narrow way until He will declare to you welcome, my faithful servant.
May Jesus bless
