The US military is flying an evangelical pastor home after a Turkish court freed him earlier on Friday.
Andrew Brunson was sentenced to three years in prison on
ter rorism charges, but was released for time served.
His detention led to a major diplomatic dispute between the US and Turkey and it is hoped that his release will ease US pressure on Turkey's economy.
