The world prioritises happiness. It tells us to pursue it relentlessly, to seek it, to guide it jealously when we find it and to repeat this process when it looks like we have lost our grip on it.

But Joy is constant in season and out of it. We have the joy of the Lord in our highest highs and lowest lows. It's an ever bubbling stream within us. We don't need to chase it or fight for it. We have it when we have Jesus. Jesus is our joy giver. He is the foundation of our joy.
