Does Cabin Air Filter reduce AC performance in your car?

Summer is here, and it's getting warm. Cars 10 to 15 years ago don't come with cabin air filter for your AC. Today, cabin air filter is a part of every car. Filter does it job by trapping and restricting flow to capture the dust (and pollutants). Does this restriction also keep your car's AC from blowing colder air and stronger cooler air?
