HMT: An end to an era of India’s first manufacturer of wrist watches

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday gave its approval to close the operations of HMT Watches Ltd, HMT Chinar Watches Ltd and HMT bearing, thus marking an end to an era of India’s first manufacturer of wrist watches shutting down due to ongoing losses.
