NON FORMAL EDUCATION -A Journey of Hope-

In Pakistan, around 22.8 million children are out of school and 60 million young people and adults cannot read or write. These adults and children are unable to get admission in formal schools owing to the age and other circumstances such as social and economic conditions, ethnic and religious differences, and cultural and language barriers. Therefore, they needed alternative and accelerated education system.
JICA's Advancing Quality Alternative Learning Project (AQAL) has provided learning opportunities to out-of-school children, young people and adults through providing Accelerated Learning Program (ALP).
