"Nothing to Lose 2" is the second and final film based on the book series written by journalist Douglas Tavolaro about the life of Edir Macedo. While the first film demonstrated Macedo's spiritual search, from childhood to the emergence of The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God; this continuation focuses on the growth of The Universal Church across the world. The film reveals betrayals, controversial cases, and denunciations formulated by the media that bishop endured.

The controversial episode of the "kick to the saint", where a bishop of The Universal Church brought a statue of a Catholic idol on a Record TV program and criticized the worship of such idols. He outraged the Catholic community by placing his foot over a statue of "Our Lady Aparecida", a Catholic idol. Passed on to media outlets, this provoked a real war between Catholics and Evangelicals with attacks on people and predation of buildings.

In the midst of so many denunciations and persecutions, Edir also faced the death of his mother and the collapse of the rooftop in the Temple of Osasco, with a large number of victims. Macedo clings to his faith, using adversities as a motivating force to achieve what appears to be an impossible dream... the inauguration of the Temple of Solomon.
