There are two sides to the word exponential. It’s a mathematical term that involves an exponent. That is a quantity representing the power to which a given number or expression is to be raised. However, when used simply as a noun, an exponent is a person who supports an idea or a theory and tries to persuade people of its truth or benefits [Deuteronomy 1:6-11. Cf. Daniel 1:3-9; 11-21].
