By 1942 at the latest, the theatres of war all over the globe had expanded into a global conflagration. In the early summer of 1942, the German Wehrmacht prepares the "Case of Blue" in the Soviet Union - the summer offensive is supposed to bring Hitler rule over the oil fields of the Caucasus. But soon the advance will end in a disastrous way - in Stalingrad. The US-Americans have been fighting for weeks in the Pacific against the troops of the Empire of Japan - island by island they must be conquered bloody here. The Battle of Guadalcanal is only the first of a long series of loss-making battles that the US troops will have to fight in the course of this war. Together with their British allies they also plan a landing in North Africa - "Operation Torch" should make the liberation of Europe possible.
