Introducing baby Luella, just 5 days old and ready for her first bath time swimming lesson at home. Bath time is an excellent opportunity to maintain baby's natural affinity with the water and give them a chance to float and start the conditioning process. This early exposure to water is crucial in shaping baby's attitude towards swimming and ensuring they have a positive and safe swimming experience.

The conditioning process teaches baby to hold their breath on trigger words such as “ready go”. This allows baby’s first underwater experience outside the womb to be a safe and positive one. Always read baby’s body language and respond to their needs. Never condition a crying baby. Bath time is an excellent opportunity to bond with your baby and create a positive experience, so it's important to always supervise baby within arms reach during bath time.

It's crucial to never leave children unattended in the bath, as even a few inches of water can be dangerous. Once bath time is over, it's important to empty the bath water immediately to prevent any accidents. To further encourage and develop your baby's love for swimming, it's recommended to enroll in formal swimming lessons between 4 and 6 months of age.
